Cotton Cascade
The Circular Cotton Cascade unites Dutch and Indian partners to revolutionise cotton supply chains through regenerative farming and collaborative business models.
Grameena Vikas Kendram has forged a consortium of 13 partners from the Netherlands and India to revolutionize sustainable cotton supply chain designs through this project. This visionary initiative aims to establish collaborative business models within a regenerative economy, incorporating on-farm experiments that enhance cotton fibre quality through innovative regenerative farming practices. Honoured by the prestigious SiaRaak MKB and supported by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, the project aspires to create a market structure that resonates with the shared values of farmers and consumers alike. By championing agroforestry-based Food & Fibre Gardens, the project envisions a sustainable future for cotton production, nurturing both communities and the environment.
